Young Transit, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1832-40, 9 1/2-in. erecting scope with spirit level below mounted to the A-frame with arch calibrated 30-0-30 with fine adjustment knob on opposite frame post, 6-in. dia. silvered dial marked "W.J. Young/Philadelphia/Maker/Patent," internal vernier, and circular bubble level mounted to plate, with four leveling screws, ht. 11 1/2 in.
