Four Plates from Illustrations of the Book of Job: And Smote Job with Sore Boils, And When They Lifted Up Their Eyes Afar Off, I Am Young and Ye Are Very Old, and Thou Hast Fulfilled the Judgment of the Wicked, 1825, published by the artist and John Linnell, London, inscribed "Proof" in the plate l.r. (Bindman, 631, 632, 637, and 640). Engravings on paper, plate sizes approximately 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 in. (21.4 x 16.4 cm),framed.
Condition: Toning, foxing, staining, not examined out of frames.
Provenance: Collection of Dory Previn, Massachusetts.

None have been removed from their frames but the sheets are all gently rippled.
Three of the frames measure 18 1/2 x 15inches; the last is 17 1/2 x 15 1/2in. The print in the unmatched frame has stained/discolored margins.
