Under UV examination one can see that the varnish was unevenly applied in the u.r. quadrant, but the varnish inconsistency does not show up in regular light. We did not remove the frame backing cardboard, which is stapled to the stretcher, since there was no reason to do so and it provides extra protection for the painting. No additional condition issues to report.
