Signed and dated "R.S. Dunning 1895" l.l., signed and dated "R.S. Dunning, P-/1895" on the reverse.
Oil on canvas, 10 1/8 x 14 in. (25.8 x 35.5 cm),in a period frame.
Condition: Small area of transfer of gold from the frame to the l.l. corner near the signature and date, fine craquelure, minor surface grime.
Provenance: A private Massachusetts collection.

The signature and date are located in the lower left corner very close to the edge of the canvas and are partially hidden by the lip of the frame.
Inscribed faintly "R.S. Dun..." in pencil on the back of the frame. Label from Haley & Steele, Boston, with the inventory number "HIL 11171501" affixed to the back of the frame. Framed dimensions are 18 x 22 x 2-1/2 inches.
