Frame dimensions are 36 x 32 1/2 in.

Original canvas trimmed of its tacking edges and wax lined onto a rigid surface. Scattered retouch to the sitter's face, armor, and background, with surface imperfections visible under raking light. Craquelure overall is stable. Minor small bulges to the lining at the lower right corner of the reverse.
