Gilt-bronze Damascene KomaiChest, Japan, Meiji period, with six drawers, decorated with floral and landscape designs, mostly in lobed panels against a maple leaf-filled ground, nine-character mark with a dragonfly reading "Nihon-koku Kyoto-shu Komai-sei" in gold on black-lacquered base, 2 1/8 x 2 1/4 x 1 5/8 in.
