Pair of Caparisoned Pottery Horses, China, possibly Tang dynasty, each horse depicted prancing with one front leg raised, the saddle, manes, and tails decorated with traces of red pigment, ht. 10 3/4 in.

Provenance: Purchased in 1937 by the present owner's great aunt and uncle.
