Molded Sheet Copper Eagle Weathervane, possibly early A.L. Jewell, Waltham, Massachusetts, early 1850s, the flattened full-body figure in heavy gauge sheet copper, with small holes for eyes, original surface, no stand, ht. 24 1/2, lg. 23 1/2 in.

Note: This weathervane bears a strong resemblance to a weathervane illustrated and discussed in A Gallery of American Weathervanes and Whirligigs, by Robert Bishop & Patricia Coblentz, p. 16, fig. 13.
