Description:

Three Early Canteens, America, early 19th century, a large red-painted staved canteen with leather handle, a small blue-painted cheesebox canteen marked "EM RUSSE," and an unpainted cheesebox canteen with stopper, dia. to 10 in.

Blue canteen is missing one pin, and has wear consistent with age/use; large red canteen has insect holes in the sides and losses to the ends of two staves; small unpainted canteen has wear consistent with age/use.
