Red-painted Cherry Tall Chest of Drawers, possibly Pennsylvania or Ohio, early 19th century, concave cornice above a mahogany veneer frieze and case of three thumb-molded short drawers and five graduated long drawers, paneled sides, on turned feet, old surface, (imperfections),ht. 66 1/2, wd. 42, dp. 20 1/2 in.

?This chest is in great condition. There is a repaired break to the left side of the cornice, but the old piece is simply glued back in. There are very minor thumbmolding cracks and well-done repairs. the top two drawers have spring locks which disengage by reaching up through the drawer underneath.
