Oil on canvas, 11 5/8 x 9 5/8 in., in a black-painted frame.
Condition: Minor retouch in spots adjoining the girl's head and in the lower portion of her dress.

Provenance: Dennis Raleigh Antiques, August 8, 2012.

Note: The painting is very similar to Mother and Daughter with Almond-shaped Eyes, c. 1828, attributed to Joseph Stone in the collection of the Shelburne Museum, Shelburne, Vermont.
