Description:

Polychrome-decorated Creamware "CYDER" Mug, Staffordshire, c. 1765-80, straight sides with molded rim and base decoration, the front inscribed "CYDER" within a shaped green border with red floral decoration, the back with painted roses and flowers, applied ribbed handle with sprigged terminals, (repair), ht. 4 3/4 in.
