Ruth Whittier Shute (New Hampshire, 1803-1882)

Miniature Portrait of Mrs. Amasa Edes
Inscribed "by Mrs Shute/Sep. 28, 1833/Mrs. A. Edes Sept 28/1833" in pencil on the back.
Oil on ivory, 2 5/8 x 1 7/8 in., in a black-painted molded frame.
Condition: Minor loss to hairline, not examined out of frame.
