George Washington Memorial Needlework, Sarah Ballou, Mary Balch School, Providence, Rhode Island, c. 1800, a central obelisk with a bust of Washington, a mourning woman in a blue and white gown, and an eagle, willow and pine trees in the background, two ships in a harbor, and a fence in the foreground, eglomise mat, in a gilt molded frame, ht. 16 3/4, wd. 13 1/2 in. (sight).
