George III Sterling Silver Goblet, Newcastle, with indistinct marks, early 19th century, maker's mark "_R/_W," ht. 6 1/4 in., approx. 8.1 troy oz.
Provenance: Reportedly from the family of Lydia Pickering Lyman nee Williams (1763-1826) and formerly housed at the Vale.
Engraving removal to one side (silver surface still strong, faint outside of letters/surface inconsistencies remain- fairly unobtrusive overall). Footrim bent slightly out of round-still sits well. Some small spots of silver rot to surface.
