Pair of Wedgwood Majolica Wine and Water Ewers, England, c. 1862, the water ewer with a figure of Triton seated atop the shoulder and modeled holding the horns of a marine monster below the spout, aquatic festoons to either side; the wine ewer with a figure of Bacchus seated atop the shoulder and modeled holding the horns of a ram's head below the spout, fruiting grapevine festoons to either side; impressed marks, ht. 16 1/2 in.

Wine: Repaired rim chips and handle; slight and scattered glaze abrasions at areas of high relief. lght chip to very end of one of the ram's horns.
Water: Slight glaze abrasions.
