Queen Anne Britannia Standard Caster, London, 1704-05, worn maker's mark, lid marked with lion's head erased, with engraved coat of arms, ht. 7 1/8 in., approx. 8.0 troy oz.

Possible restoration or engraving removal/re-engraving (silver surface strong and with no visible abrasions/pitting/halos to exterior, interior shows surface inconsistencies). Coat of arms is quite worn with lower area almost indistinct. Small very shallow dent to lid, otherwise in good condition (marked only with Britannia standard). Age-typical surface wear throughout.
