Modernist abstract sculpture constructed from sheet bronze on round base stamped Homer Gunn, ht. 26, base wd. 15, wd. point 24 in.
Note: Gunn studied at RISD from 1938-41, then at the Art Students League of New York. He later taught at Deerfield Academy. His public commissions include the War Memorial in Greenfield, MA, and sculptures for the Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood where, notably, the bandshell was an early Eero Saarinen project.
