KAUFFMANN, with accessory box and original leather case labeled FROM/R. M. KAUFFMANN/THE EVENING STAR-THE SUNDAY STAR/WASHINGTON, D.C.

N.B. Rudolph Max Kauffmann (1882-1956) was senior vice president of the Evening Star Newspaper Company, and grandson of Samuel Hay Kauffmann, the company's founding president.
