Mario Capuzzo (Italian, 1902-1973)

Pair of Venetian Views
Signed or inscribed "Capuzzo" and with handwritten provenance, both on the reverse.
Oil on panel, each 27 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. (70.0 x 49.5 cm), framed (under glass).
Condition: Bowing to the supports, not examined out of frames.
Estimate $800-1,200

The works are painted on thin wood panels. Inscribed on the reverse with provenance, "...Antonio Franceschini...ad Antonio Hary..." with a further inscription by Maria Hary indicating that the works had been returned to her in 1980. Also with stamps from a Venetian art material supplier on the reverse.
