Stevens Vernier Hunter's Pet Pocket Rifle, Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, c. late 19th/early 20th century, serial number 3817, smoothbore barrel marked "44" on left side above serial number, octagon to round barrel marked on the top "J. STEVENS A. & T., CO./CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS., S.A. PAT. SEPT 6, 1864," wood grips with detachable shoulder stock and adjustable vernier peep sight with matching serial number, barrel lg. 20, overall lg. 34 in.
