Edward Bingham Castle Hedingham Earthenware Pitcher, England, late 19th century, decorated in the medieval style with mottled brown glaze, buff-colored wheat border and applied "coins," all heavily molded with three large cartouches of figural scenes below crested shields, inscribed near the foot "The Essex Jug," below the base a raised castle and inscription "Edward Bingham Castle Hedingham Essex," ht. 14 3/8 in.
