Two Abstract Works on Paper: 1-2368 and 1-2246. The first initialed and dated "ih [within a circle]/82" l.r., the second initialed similarly and dated ".../'88" l.r., both signed on the reverse "HAYNES" and dated "AUG/SEPT 1982" and "SEPT. 1988" respectively l.r., and inscribed with archive numbers referenced above in pencil u.r., with the artist's typed biography affixed to the reverse. Acrylic on Fabriano Artistico watermarked paper, 29 3/4 x 22 1/4 in., unframed. Condition: Good.

N.B. A copy of a retrospective exhibition catalog, Irving B. Haynes: Abstractions, 1960-2005, Newport Art Museum, Newport, Rhode Island, 2009, with an essay by Judith Tolmick Champa, accompanied the lot.
