Two Hudson River School/White Mountain-style Landscapes: Boater on a Lake
and Cows Watering. Unsigned. Oil on academy board, 6 x 12 in., framed. Condition: Minor varnish discoloration and surface grime, Boater with small surface accretion u.c.

N.B. Although pencil inscriptions on the frame backing paper attribute the paintings to J.F. Kensett, from the collection of Senator Charles Benjamin Farwell of Illinois, the John Frederick Kensett Catalogue Raisonné committee has determined these works are not by the hand of Kensett.
