Description:
Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer Worktable, probably Massachusetts, c. 1810-15, square top with rectangular drop leaves above three drawers, the uppermost compartmented, the bottommost fitted for a bag, refinished, ht. 28 1/2, wd. 17 1/2, dp. 18 in.
Provenance: An old note, written in pen on card, attached to the underside of a drawer, reads: "This table comes from an estate in Meriden N.H. The contents of the house were given to our hospital in Concord. Ma bought the table from hospital as they did not want it. About 19+."
