William III Sterling Silver Punch Bowl, London, 1698-99, Francis Garthorne, maker, the circular, fluted bowl with applied cast lion heads with ring handles and a central vacant cartouche, faint monogram to underside, dia. 10 3/4 in., approx. 36.2 troy oz.

Scattered restorations including solder to worn areas along fluted edge, joints to handles on the lion masks, and vacant cartouche (silver surface still strong, probable engraving removal-small halo to center, areas of silver solder to edge). Age typical wear and abrasions throughout.
