Salem Harbor, 1882, edition of about 1,500 (Paff, 1). Signed and dated within the plate. Etching on laid paper, image/sheet size 4 3/8 x 7 5/16 in., framed. Condition: Trimmed to/within the border line, staining, pencil annotations and a printed "1" to verso.

N.B. This was Benson's first etching, and he would not return to the medium for 30 years. It was published as a frontispiece for the second number of the magazine The Art Student. The publication was created by the students of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School, and Benson was one of the editors.
