Two Scrapbooks with Prints by or After Stefano della Bella (Italian, 1610-1664)
Book One: Stefano della Bella, A Set of Six Fanciful Designs for Vases, signed "Stef. de la Bella Jnuent. fecit" in the plates l.l., with the publisher's line "F. L'Angois..." l.r., each print 3 3/4 x 8 3/8 sheet size, mounted to scrapbook pages; Book Two: After Stefano della Bella, Desseins de Quelques Conduites..., title and eleven plates, published and probably etched by Israƫl Silvestre the Younger (French, 1621-1691),thought to be an 18th century printing, most signed "SDBella Jn." in the plates, two unsigned, each print 2 3/4 x 4 7/8 in., mounted to scrapbook pages. Condition: Toning, scrapbook pages with areas of foxing, wear to the covers.
Provenance: The collection of Professor and Mrs. Jonathan Brown, Princeton.

Scrapbooks' outside dimensions are 7 x 11 1/2 in. for the book of Vases, and 6 3/4 x 9 7/8 in. for the book of Military Manoeuvres.
