Elizabeth Crake Needlework Sampler, England, 1737, with lines of alphabet and verse, stitched inscription "Elizabeth Crake Her Work/Begun April the 3 1737/in the 9 year of/her age," with stitched images of a man with a hunting gun, animals, and flower, above an illustration of Adam and Eve with animals beneath a tree, flanked by a finely dressed man and woman, in a molded hardwood frame, (fading and staining), ht. 9, wd. 8 in.
