Gilt Grand Sonnerie Carriage Clock, Switzerland, c. 1830, elaborately decorated fire-gilded case with top-mounted carrying handle, applied floral decorated cast brass mounts on each side, and resting on hairy paw feet, 4-in. enamel arabic numeral dial marked "Courvoisier & Comp.," blued-steel hour, minute, and alarm hands, eight-day time, grand sonnerie strike, and alarm movement with pull-wind alarm and repeat on demand, all regulated by a three arm balance, adjusting lever in base marked "Grande Sonerie," "Petite Sonerie," and "Silence," ht. with handle extended 10 1/2 in.
