Description:

1779 Silver Col. Coyne Nugent Reward of Merit, c. 1779 engraved medal, one side with "REWARD/of/Merit/1779/Coln/Coyne Nugent" surrounded by decorative scrollwork, the opposite side with a rampant lion holding a sword and document surrounded by "LIBERTAS PATRIAE FINEA/INDEPENDENTS," the edge decorated with engraved line, dot, and dart pattern, holed with suspension loop, dia. 50.9 mm.
