Military Chest Used by Major General Ulysses S. Grant, c. 1861-65, ash chest with dovetailed joints and iron handles and hinges, stenciled on the front "U.S.G./U.S.A.," ht. 20, wd. 21 3/4, lg. 33 in.

Provenance: By family descent of General James H. Wilson.

In good condition with some dings and nicks, and a few stains on the top of the lid.
