Description:

U.S. Model 1860 Cavalry Saber, c. 1864, brass hilt, stamped near the pommel "ALA/F 17", leather and wire-wrapped grip, steel blade marked on the ricasso "U.S./LM/1864" and "MANSFIELD/&/LAMB," with a steel scabbard, blade lg. 35, overall lg. 41 in.

Grip has some loss near the top and the scabbard has a dark patina.
