Aubusson Tapestry of Two Men Fishing, cartoon designed by Jean-Joseph Dumons after François Boucher, France, 19th century, wool and silk, depicting two fisherman, one seated with cording over one shoulder, the other standing holding his fishing rod leading to a river, accented by a pagoda-form architectural structure on the left side, and foliage, with a floral and foliate border on four sides, ht. 111 1/2, wd. 58 3/4 in.
From the Baltimore Museum of Art to benefit the acquisition fund.
