Victorian Sterling Silver Vegetable Dish and Cover, London, 1850-51, John Samuel Hunt, maker, also marked "Hunt & Roskell Late Storr Mortimer & Hunt" and numbered "4856" to underside of dish, each monogrammed, the domed cover with pea blossom finial, the lower dish with shell-form handles and chased scrolls to rim, dish lg. 12 7/8, cover ht. 6 1/2 in., approx. 60.2 troy oz. total.

One small loss to tip of tendril of finial (very unobtrusive),otherwise dish with surface abrasions and a few spots of silver rot.
