Oil on canvas laid down on canvasboard, 14 1/2 x 11 3/4 in. (36.8 x 29.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Some craquelure to impasto throughout, surface grime.
Estimate $5,000-7,000
The impasto is very thick, built up to 3/8 inch thick in several areas. The craquelure is minor, consisting of single cracks in a few areas. One can see dust accumulated in some of the hollows created by the impasto. The tips of the impasto may have suffered minor losses in two areas, one at l.c. and one at c.r. When the backing board was partially removed, it was revealed that the work is backed onto Masonite.
Framed dimensions: 15 x 12 1/4 in.
