In addition to the typed general information regarding the magazine's publication of the illustration, the Scribner's label bears the following dedication written in ink: " Given to/Morley Donaldson/by W. Bayard Dominick/22 West 51st Street/New York" Dominick was a member of the New York Stock Exchange and also an avid hunter. The four-story house at No. 22 West 51st Street was Dominick's residence until the fall of 1917. (http://daytoninmanhattan.blogspot.com/2016/03/the-1921-dominick-mansion-no-117-east.html) It is possible that the person who received the watercolor was Morley Donaldson, a Vice President and General Manager for the Grand Trunk Pacific railway in Canada.
