Portrait Head of a Woman in Neoclassical Dress
Signed and dated "R. Peale/1844" l.r.
Oil on canvas, 24 x 18 in. (61.0 x 46.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Lined, retouch, paint losses, craquelure with areas of flaking, surface grime.

Provenance: A private Massachusetts family collection.

N.B. The consignor reports that this was purchased from a member of the Peale family.
