Three Mennonite Quilts, Waterloo County, Ontario, c. 1910-30, a "Sunshine and Shadow" pattern quilt composed of a gold eight pointed star against a background of blue and purple diamonds within a dark red border; a "Diamond and Stars" pattern quilt composed of large red diamonds on blue backgrounds and gray squares; and a "Log Cabin Sunshine and Shadow" pattern quilt composed of brightly colored blocks against a dark contrasting background, within a red and black border with blue triangles, lg. to 80, wd. to 74 in.
Note: The "Sunshine and Shadow" quilt was acquired from the family of Amsey Weber, Three Bridges, Waterloo County, Ontario; the "Diamond and Stars" pattern quilt descended through the Brubacker family of St. Jacob's, Waterloo County, Ontario; and the "Log Cabin Sunshine and Shadow" quilt was acquired from the Martin family of Winterbourne, Waterloo County, Ontario.
