Friesian Carved Box, Europe, c. 1675, dovetail construction, domed top, carved on all sides with chip-carved heart designs, floral and geometric patterns, iron lock with key, the inside painted yellow, "1675" in black paint on inside of lid, ht. 9 1/4, wd. 18 3/4, dp. 12 1/2 in.
