Mourning Needlework for Hannah Talbot, Mary Talbot, Balch School, Providence, Rhode Island, late 18th/early 19th century, designed as a willow tree above an urn-topped memorial to the deceased Hannah Talbot (d. March 24, 1795, at age 20),in an ebonized and gilt eglomise mat inscribed along the lower edge "Wrought by Mary Talbot," in a gilt frame with ropetwist carving, overall 12 3/4 x 17 in.
