George II/III Mahogany Slant-lid Desk, mid to late 18th century, upper case hinged fold-out writing surface opens to an interior fitted with correspondence slots over six small drawers, over a single drawer flanked by pull-out supports, lower case with two drawers framing an arched kneehole, resting on chinoiserie-style straight legs, ht. 40 1/2, wd. 32 3/4, dp. 21 3/8 in.

Provenance: Proceeds from the sale of the collections will be used by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, Virginia, exclusively for the acquisition of art and antiques to be exhibited in its art museums and historic buildings.
