James Abbott McNeill Whistler (American, 1834-1903)
Battersea Dawn (Cadogan Pier), alternatively titled Early Morning, Battersea, 1863, second state of two (Glasgow, 95; Kennedy, 75). Signed within the plate, identified in inscriptions on the backing. Etching on paper, plate size 4 1/2 x 5 13/16 in., framed. Condition: Pale fox marks, gentle cockling, not examined out of frame.
