The Forge, 1861, final state of six (Glasgow, 86; Kennedy, 68). Signed and dated within the plate, identified on a label from The Gage Gallery, Cleveland, affixed to the backing. Etching on paper, plate size 7 5/8 x 12 1/2 in., framed. Condition: Pale foxing, toning, subtle mat burn, not examined out of frame.
