Johan Barthold Jongkind (Dutch, 1819-1891)
Two Framed Etchings: Moulins en Hollande and Jetée en Bois à Honfleur.Moulins, 1867 (Delteil 14). Inscribed, dated, and signed "Rotterdam 1867 Jongkind" within the plate l.c., plate size 5 3/4 x 7 5/8 in.; Jetée signed and dated "Jongkind 1865" within the plate l.l., titled l.c., published by Cadart & Luquet, Paris, and with the publisher's dry stamp l.c., plate size 9 1/4 x 12 7/16 in. Condition: Both with toning and mat burn, Jetée with foxing.
N.B. Accompanied by a small exhibition catalog from the Musee de L'Orangierie from 1949 in which examples of these two etching are listed, and an impression of Jetée is illustrated, although it is a different state.
