This large allegorical image includes a portrait of Louis XIV of France (1638-1715) on a shield held by a figure representing Roman Catholicism, riding on a carriage being pulled by the symbols of the four evangelists; in the bottom panel is a large terrestrial globe depicting Europe, Africa, and Asia, with a personification of Truth on the left, and monsters falling into the abyss on the right. The image is alternately titled Extirpation du Calvinisme, and L'Église Victorieuse de l'Hérésie.
