First edition, second issue with the omission of the Ludwig imprint, three-line copyright with Wiley & Putnam named, half-title, Wiley and Putnam's Library of American Books. Poe's Tales, 4 pages of advertisements after the text, bound in contemporary half black morocco, lettered in gilt on the spine, textured paper boards, bumped, front board detached, spine loose, some faint water staining at the end, 7 1/2 x 4 3/4 in.
