Jardine, Sir William (1800-1874) Odd Volumes of The Naturalist's Library and Others, Eleven Volumes. Eight separate 12mo volumes from Jardine's magnum opus, the Naturalist's Libray, Edinburgh: Lizars, 1850s; including Amphibious Carnivora, Walrus and Seals, and Herbivorous Cetacea; Birds of Great Britain and Ireland; Mammalia: Whales (two copies); Entomology: British Butterflies; Entomology: Briths Moths, Sphinxes, etc.; Entomology: Beetles; Ichtyology: Fishes of British Guiana, Part I; all illustrated throughout with colored plates, various bindings, sizes.
[Together with] Bernard Germain de Lacépède (1756-1825) Oeuvres. Comprenant l'Histoire Naturelle des Quadrupedes Ovipares, des Serpens, des Poissons, et des Cetaces, Paris : Dumenil, 1836, three large octavo volumes in original soft paper wrappers, uncut throughout, illustrated with 150 uncolored etched plates representing nearly 500 animals, each volume housed in a custom slipcase.
