Borelli, Giovanni Alfonso (1608-1679) De Motu Animalium. Pars Prima [only of two]. Rome: Bernabo, 1680. First edition, volume one only of two, illustrated with fourteen folding engraved plates, found in full modern calf, 8 1/4 x 6 in.
Borelli was the first to systematically and scientifically study human and animal motion.
