Octavo, in publisher's blue cloth and unclipped dust jacket, with quotes from Robert Lowell and Randall Jarrell on the back, corrections in Bishop's hand in three places in the text (in addition to the inscription),8 1/2 x 6 in.
Bishop presented this copy of her Complete Poems to Methfessel, then the twenty-seven-year-old house secretary of Kirkland House at Harvard, where Bishop was teaching.
